The captain was great from start to finish, answering all my questions before booking. We only had one of two possible days to get out on the water, and after Hurricane Erin, we weren’t even sure we’d get to fish. The captain mentioned the water might be a little choppy but assured us it was safe to go. We booked a 6-hour afternoon trip in the bay and ended up catching plenty of fish. The captain and first mate worked hard to make sure everyone had a great time and that everything ran smoothly. Despite the recent storm, the trip turned out to be an excellent experience on the water.

The captain and mate were fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. My son had endless questions about fishing, and they took the time to explain everything clearly. The boat and gear were top-notch, and we caught plenty of fish throughout the trip. It was an all-around great experience that we’ll definitely remember!

We had lines in the water shortly after leaving the dock and started trolling right away. The action came fast—we caught plenty of bluefish and even landed a Spanish mackerel. Grayson did a great job filleting all our catches, and we had an absolute blast. The boat was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone to move around. I’ll definitely be booking an offshore trip with these guys next time—they were awesome!

We booked a 4-hour morning trip, and the captain did an excellent job meeting our expectations for getting the kids on some fish. We started off targeting spadefish, and my 11-year-old daughter was excited to reel in a few. My 6-year-old son, on the other hand, fell asleep on the ride out and missed that part. At one point, my daughter hooked what was likely a black drum, but it straightened the hook—no surprise since we were using light tackle for spadefish. When the bite slowed, the captain switched things up and took us trolling for Spanish mackerel and bluefish to give the kids some steady action. We hit a big school of bluefish and had 2–4 hookups every pass for over half an hour. By the end, the kids had boated around 15 bluefish, and both were all smiles—especially my son, who had a blast reeling them in. The captain was knowledgeable and courteous, and the deckhand, though young, was enthusiastic and great with the kids. My friend and I are both experienced fishermen and fish biologists, so we know when someone knows their stuff—and he definitely did. He worked hard to make sure the kids had a great experience, which mattered most to us. Overall, it was exactly the kind of family-friendly morning trip we hoped for. The captain, boat, and crew all deserve top marks.

Went out on a last minute trip with Prowler Fishing Charter for a bottom fishing trip. Immediately got on decent Black Sea bass while fishing wrecks. Later we headed even further offshore to target tilefish. We caught a limit of nice tilefish including one citation at 12.3 pounds. Great trip!

Captain Louis and first mate Nate gave us the fishing experience of a lifetime. They got us on the Spanish Mackerel and it was all hands on deck. It was a Mack attack. Best fishing trip ever!!!

The crew was absolutely fantastic! Maria made sure we all felt at ease and shared a wealth of knowledge about bay fishing techniques. Although the fish weren’t biting as much as we’d hoped, Captain Louis was incredibly accommodating, letting us experiment with various fishing methods to ensure we at least caught a few fish. In fact, they even stayed out longer than planned to give us one last chance at trolling. We truly appreciated their dedication and expertise throughout the trip!

Our first fishing trip was a blast despite the rough waters at the start! Although we were beginners, the crew guided us through some trolling techniques and by the end of the day, we had caught between 9 and 11 fish. They also showed us how to clean our catch, making it a fun and educational experience. We had a great time and highly recommend this charter for a fantastic day out on the water!

My son and I had an amazing time fishing! As soon as our lines hit the water, we were catching fish non-stop for the first few hours. My 11-year-old son learned how to hand-line the fish and set the boards, and we both had a blast creating some fantastic memories together. Thank you for such a great experience

Captain and First Mate Made Our Fishing Trip Fantastic! The Captain was great at finding the fish, and First Mate Maria was incredibly helpful, offering lots of tips, stories, and instructions. Our entire group had an amazing time, and the Captain was very accommodating to all our requests.

Fishing with Captain Hocker and Maria was an absolute pleasure! Captain Hocker expertly put us on the fish, and we enjoyed a fantastic, easy-going day of fishing. Maria took the time to prepare our filets at the end of the trip. All the best to the Prowler crew for a job well done!
